Owner Thomas after obtaining a business degree at the university of cologne and working for a couple of years in the fashion marketing moved in 2004 to Cape Town temporarily to work here and try his luck in one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Like so many other people he ended up staying here and started his own business as so many people he was connected with were asking him for, or to organise accommodation, so it was a logical step to open a guest house business. So a year later in 2005 he opened Surf The Cape Guest House, because that’s what its all about, the guests that would come and stay with us would want to windsurf, kitesurf and Surf The Cape. And the best base to do that would be the table view/blouberg area. He started with the Main House in the beautiful and quiet area Flamingo Vlei, very closely situated to the Rietvlei Nature Reserve and its Rietvlei lake. A few years later he purchased with the New Lodge another house situated in a quiet close on the other side of blouberg road. We offer mainly double and single rooms and apartments for groups of up to 4 guests, but we also cater for single travellers or bigger groups that can rent for example our whole New Lodge property. Our guests can either enjoy their privacy or relax in our comfortable beds, or enjoy the great vibe in the group with the other watersports enthusiasts or like minded people. We love to welcome you in our houses and are happy to tell you all we know about Cape Town and surroundings so that you can get the best out of your stay with us and have the best of times.
